Itinerary Overview
Day 1 – Arrival in Entebbe
Welcome to Uganda! Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your driver will transfer you to your lodge. Depending on your arrival time, visit the Mabamba Swamp for a birding tour or stroll through the Entebbe Botanical Gardens.
The start of your round trip
Day 2 – To Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, head west toward Kibale Forest, the primate capital of East Africa. Settle in at your lodge and enjoy the lush surroundings.
Day 3 – Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Swamp Walk
Enter the forest for an exhilarating chimpanzee tracking experience. Watch them swing through the canopy and observe other monkeys and tropical birds.
In the afternoon, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a birdwatcher’s paradise.
Day 4 – Queen Elizabeth National Park
Morning game drive through the Kasenyi Plains, spotting lions, elephants, buffaloes, and antelopes. After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, famous for its hippos, crocodiles, and incredible birdlife.
Day 5 – Journey to Bwindi Forest
Travel south through scenic landscapes to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Relax at your lodge on the forest edge — you might spot curious monkeys nearby.
Day 6 – Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Today’s highlight: a close encounter with Uganda’s mountain gorillas. Follow your guide through the dense forest to find one of the habituated families.
Spending time with these gentle giants is an experience you’ll never forget.
Day 7 – Lake Mburo National Park
Drive to Lake Mburo National Park, a landscape dotted with acacia woodlands and zebras. Enjoy an afternoon game drive or walking safari to see impalas, elands, and with luck, leopards.
Day 8 – Return to Entebbe
After breakfast, begin your return journey, crossing the Equator for photos and a souvenir stop before reaching Entebbe or your next destination.
Day 7:
After breakfast at the Lodge, you will travel to Lake Mburo National Park. In this National Park, you will do game drives or if you wish, you can do a walking safari.
Day 8:
After breakfast and checkout at the Lodge, you will travel back to Entebbe, Kampala, or your next destination.
On this journey, you will cross the Equator for the second time, where you will get the chance for pictures of the famous spot. You can also get several souvenirs and have a lunch break before you continue with your trip.
